Jennifer Helmer, MSPT, CHT

Jennifer K Helmer, MSPT, CHT is a Montana native.  She grew up in northern Montana, and attended high school in eastern Montana. The triangle was completed with her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Montana in Missoula.

Jennifer’s physical therapy career includes the orthopedic treatment of extremities, including ankle, knee, elbow and shoulder joints. She enjoys a sporting background. This has carried over to her care of athletic injuries. In the summer, you can find her giving injury prevention talks at sports camps.

In 2007 Jennifer expanded her specialization to the treatment of the upper extremity. She has earned the certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). CHTs specialize in the care and treatment of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Her practice at NRO includes care for orthopedic operative and non-operative patients, in addition to custom orthosis fabrication.

She primarily uses exercise as a treatment intervention, with ultimate goal of return to function.

Jennifer enjoys time with her family, traveling hiking, skiing, golfing and photography.
